Founded in 2014 by parents who were passionate about improving the diagnosis experience for families with babies with Down syndrome.
The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network’s mission is to connect, support and provide accurate information to families with a Down syndrome diagnosis and the medical professionals who serve them.
DSDN envisions a world in which families have unbiased, family-centered, and factually accurate Down syndrome (Ds) diagnosis experiences every time, and quickly know they are not alone DSDN Programming:
They Moderate social media support groups for parents with children with Down syndrome focusing on supporting parents in the prenatal to age three phases. And also hosting several subtopic groups to more deeply connect families around a topic or area of interest/concern (including: Spanish-speaking families, heart conditions, hearing loss, cancer, natural parenting, fit-minded moms, adoption, loss, single parenting and more)
Their Rockin’ Family Fund provides new and expectant families with welcome gifts, care cards in challenging times, scholarships to learn and connect and memorial gifts at the loss of a child.
DSDN Partners with over 80 local Down syndrome organizations to share information about Down syndrome and Distributed more than 12,000 free brochures to local Ds organizations and medical professionals.
